Hospital Security Changes Protect Patients, Visitors and Staff

Lehigh Acres Teen Donates 14 Pints of Blood Lee Memorial Health System is committed to maintaining the safety of our patients, families, visitors and staff. In an effort to ensure the security of our hospitals, we enacted a "Fast Pass" system at Lee Memorial Hospital and Gulf Coast Medical Center. The Fast Pass system requires all visitors to show photo ID to obtain a one-day pass that allows them access to the hospital—whether to visit a patient or attend a medical appointment. Children receive a pass with their parent's ID, and teenagers may use their school ID.

Safety and security are paramount to our health system, and the Fast Pass system helps exclude people in the hospitals and physician offices who do not have reasons to be there. It also enables us to better identify who is entering the hospitals so that we can maintain a safe environment
