Scott J. Kashman
Chief Administrative Officer for Cape Coral Hospital
Scott Kashman, a member of the Senior Leadership Council, is the Chief Administrative Officer for Cape Coral Hospital. He joined Lee Memorial Health System in August 2011.
As CAO, Scott is responsible for managing the facility budget, providing operational direction and oversight of the facility's leadership team, and collaborating with the hospital and health system team to achieve financial, operational, quality and safety, and strategic goals.
Scott brings more than 21 years of experience in various areas of health care. He began his career as a Psychiatric Counselor providing inpatient and outpatient one-on-one and group therapy. Throughout his career, he also held a number of managerial positions, including, but not limited to serving as Vice President of Outpatient Services at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago; Vice President of Operations and Strategic Development for Advanced Therapy & Rehab in Skokie, Ill.; Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Operations for Mercy Hospital Anderson in Cincinnati, OH. Most recently, Scott served as Chief Executive Officer at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his Master of Health Administration degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He also completed a fellowship in the area of disability ethics in the Department of Rehabilitation & Physical Medicine at Northwestern University Medical School. He is a Fellow (FACHE) and Leadership Mentor with the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been a presenter on a number of health care related topics. Scott also is a National Association of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer.
