Chief Administrative Officer for Gulf Coast Medical Center
Joshua DeTillio, a member of the Senior Leadership Council, is the Chief Administrative Officer for Gulf Coast Medical Center. He joined Lee Memorial Health System in August 2011.
As CAO, Joshua is responsible for managing the facility budget, providing operational direction and oversight of the facility's leadership team, and collaborating with the hospital and health system team to achieve financial, operational, quality and safety, and strategic goals.
Joshua brings 16 years of experience in various areas of areas of the military and health care. He began his career with the United States Army serving five years as a Field Artillery Officer. After leaving the Army, Joshua began his career in health care with HCA as an administrative fellow at Cedars Medical Center in Miami. He was later promoted to Associate Administrator and Ethics and Compliance Officer at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Fla. Joshua joined Tenet Healthcare in 2006 and served as the Chief Operating Officer for North Shore Medical Center in Miami and most recently as the Chief Operating Officer for St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. Joshua is focused on patient care, patient safety, and the promotion of health and wellness in Lee County.
Joshua received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He also is a Fellow (FACHE) with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
